Follow friday is hosted by parajunkee's view. The question this week is:
What is/was your favorite subject in school?
Well my favourite subject in school was English. As a dutch girl, english in the Netherlands isn't the same as english in England or America or any other english speaking country. We had to lear how to write, read and speak english. I've learned a lot in the classes and it made me want to learn more english, so I started reading english books. And that brought me here blogging about books haha.
So that's it for this follow friday!
Then we have the blog hop! This is hosted by Crazy for Books The question this week is:
"What book are you most looking forward to seeing published in 2011? Why are you anticipating that book?"
The book I'm looking forward to the most has to be Cryptic Cravings by Ellen schreiber. As a 16 year old girl I read the dutch verson of Vampire kisses and fell in love with it, I searched every bookstore for that book and it's still my most favourite book ever. So I'm really looking forward for book 8 in this series

ReplyDeleteHoppin by. Nice blog!
ReplyDeleteI always loved my english classes, even when they dealt with grammar, punctuation or other less exciting subjects :) I actually enjoyed Spanish, too - it's just exciting to learn another language.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to have found you via the Hop!
I'm horrid at grammar- maybe you can help me out. I took a foreign language but it didn't stick with me.
ReplyDeleteMy answer: in school I liked JROTC and English!

That's how it went for me too with English. I'm still not good enough at it.*sigh* But I like it and I love reading english books too!:)
ReplyDeleteI still haven't read the Vampire Kisses series, but I heard a lot of good things about it. Maybe I'll get to it soon... Oh, and I really like the cover of Cryptic Cravings.:)

Never thought about it how English is taught in other countries , Is it harder to learn?
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend.
My FF and Blog hops
I didn't think it was hard to learn haha. To be honest I'm better at english grammar than Dutch. Dutch is a very stupid language haha, they change the grammar every couple of years so by the time you understand it, it changes again.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from the follow.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Thanks for the follow :) I followed back
