Teaser tuesday #21


It's Tuesday again so time for another Teaser Tuesday hosted by Should Be Reading! Here is how it works:


  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
And here is my Teaser for this week:  

Where they're not too deep I wade out and use the shovel, digging it into their necks, pushing down and grunting with the effort of slicing through skin and severe bone. The heads roll a little and it's hard to avoid their eyes.
I wonder if I'm somehow giving them peace
