The story:

The view of a book addict:
This book is well written and you really get the time to get to know the characters. The story is told from the viewpoint of a lot of characters, most of the time I find this confusing but because all the characters already know each other, or get to know each other it isn’t confusing at all.
I love the women in this book, they are strong and don’t depend on any man. And that’s not something you expect from a book set in Victorian London. You can find a lot of steampunk elements in the book and I love that. The book is full of exciting things and romantic encounters. I found it very hard to put this book down! This would be a good book to start a whole series about these characters with.
The verdict of a book addict:
If you’re into steampunk, Victorian London and strong women this is your book! If work and life weren’t in the way I would have finished this book in one sit! I will definitly recommend this book to everyone I know!

If I saw this book in bookstore I wont pick it up, the cover is ugly! But your review caught my interest, I hope there's another cover version though...

ReplyDeleteI find the cover quite sexy. I love the Charlie's Angels feel of the story. Once I started reading this, I couldn't stop. Great story, well written, and hopefully it leads to a series. :)

This isn't a series I just said that it would be a good first book if it was a series. but it still is an amazing book!
