Review: The Banishing by Fiona Dodwell

Title:               The Banishing
Author:          Fiona Dodwell
Pages:             179 (on my e-reader)
Catagory:      Horror

The story:

When Melissa first notices the change in her husband - subtle at first - she thinks it may be the stress of moving into their new home. Or working long hours. But soon he turns into something far darker, far more sinister.

Who or what is the dark shadow living beneath her husband? What is haunting him?

Melissa must quickly find the answer to these questions, because Mark is changing, and fast. Soon her fight will be for her life, as well as for her marriage.

The Banishing is a dark, disturbing novel exploring the world of demonic possession, spiritual oppression and domestic abuse

The view of a book addict:
Never in my life have I been scared after reading a book. But this book just scared the hell out of me. It starts with a story of abuse but it turns into a real horror story! The story just enfolds itself and you just live through everyting the main character lives throug.
The story just pulled me in and even now as I’m writing this review the chills ares still running down my spine.

The verdict of a book addict:

Amazing debut, if this book predicts anything about the books Fiona is going to write in the future than I can’t imagine that she won’t be a bestseller author. An amazing and chilling book you don’t want to read after dark!
